Ceriale is an ancient, seafaring village, where it is possible to observe the old fishermen, intent to mend the nets, and a bastion, armed in 1563, a robust defense fitted with artillery, which, however, could not prevent the renowned pillaging of the town, which was carried out on 2nd July 1637 by the Saracen pirates. This cost the lives of 22 people and the kidnapping of 339 citizens.
In the town, it is possible to spend a relaxing family holiday, to discover nature and to choose between many sports and activities.
The key position of our Residence allows to easily reach the main points of interest of the Ligurian Riviera and the French Côte d’Azur.

A few meters from our Residence there is an equipped playground, suitable for the little ones.
Water Park “Le Caravelle”
In Ceriale there is “Le Caravelle”, the biggest Water Park in Liguria, with slides and rides for the whole family, as well as the new spa area for adults only.
Whale Watching and Aquarium
To get the full sea experience, it is possible to embark for an excursion and see fish and cetacean, normally not visible from the mainland. Not far away there is also the Aquarium of Genoa, which is the biggest and most spectacular of Italy.
To the discovery of nature
Inland
There are many typical towns in the Ligurian inland, well-suited to walk along paths, which are immersed in the Mediterranean flora; in the meanwhile, it is possible to look for myrtle, thyme and, during growing season, delicious mushrooms. There is also the opportunity to get to know the typical traditions, cuisine and wines of the Riviera di Ponente, thanks to the numerous and characteristic festivals.
Gallinara Island
From Alassio and Laigueglia it is possible to take a boat in order to reach the island, a beautiful nature reserve where you can relax or do subaquatic sports.

The caves of Toirano
In Toirano there is the opportunity to visit the famous caves, rich in stalactites and stalagmites, where ancient animal remains and the signs of the presence of paleolithic men can be seen.
Hanbury Botanic Gardens
In the city of Ventimiglia, near the French border, there is a wonderful botanic garden, which extends for 18 hectares and combines the typical Mediterranean flora and the “Englishness” of the environment.
How about some sport?
On the hills surrounding Ceriale and the neighbouring cities, it is possible to engage with many sports activities, such as hiking, trekking, mountain biking and rock climbing, exploring the numerous paths immersed in the Mediterranean woodland.
On the broadwalk, jogging and road cycling can be practised, while by the sea any water sport is available. Every activity is organised either by dedicated agencies or independently.
Golf enthusiasts can find a few kilometers from our Residence the Garlenda Golf Club, which presents a 6000 square meters course.

Museums in Albenga
In Albenga, one of the most suggestive old towns in the Ligurian Riviera di Ponente, it is possible to admire medieval towers, ancient palaces and churches, and to visit museums, such as the Roman Naval Museum, and places of interest, like the paleochristian baptisery.
Côte d’Azur
In a short time it is possible to reach the French border and the Côte d’Azur, in order to visit suggestive towns, such as Menton, or cities full of events, such as Nice, and have the opportunity to spend a day by an across-the-border sea.
